John D. Bennett, MD

Dr. John D. Bennett is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY and received his medical degree, with honors, from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his internship, residency, and a cardiology fellowship at Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany, NY. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. Dr. Bennett is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York, the American Heart Association, the Heart Failure Society of America, and the American Society of Echocardiography.  His clinical interests focus on congestive heart failure, valvular, coronary heart disease, and echocardiography.  He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albany Medical College and serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Capital District Physician’s Health Plan. He is the Chief of Medicine and Cardiology and Director of the Heart Program at Albany Memorial Hospital in Albany, NY.
